What you will bring to the team

IT Hunters Corp is seeking a self-directed Data Engineer Python with previous experience in software development, to join our team in all of Mexico. The Software Engineer designs builds and supports custom software solutions for some of the world’s companies.

What you will be doing:

Your typical day as a Data Engineer Python will involve:

The ideal candidate for this role should have strong experience with Python programming, experience with large-scale data storage systems and data ingestion pipelines, and a solid understanding of data processing and data security.

A preferred requirement is experience in multiple business verticals (healthcare, fintech, retail). We are looking for candidates with exceptional quantitative problem-solving abilities. The candidates could have educational background (undergrad, or grad) in fields like computer science, math, physics, or economics.

Responsibilities

Design and implement data storage solutions: This includes setting up relational databases, NoSQL databases, and cloud storage systems (AWS/Azure).

Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines: The data engineer is responsible for automating the process of collecting, transforming, and loading data into data storage systems.

Implement data transformation and processing: The data engineer is responsible for writing scripts and programs in Python to clean, transform, and manipulate data before it is loaded into the data storage systems.

Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance: The data engineer is responsible for monitoring data pipeline performance and making changes to improve efficiency and reliability.

Collaborate with data practice leads and analysts: The data engineer will work with data scientists and analysts to understand their data needs and help them access and use the data in the data storage systems.

Implement data security and privacy measures: The data engineer is responsible for ensuring that sensitive data is properly secured and protected
